When Kelly and Adam’s best friends went on a blind date, it was kismet that these two would accompany as plus-ones. They met, fell in love, and the rest was history…at least until Adam popped the question in their hometown of Chicago. By then, the pair had moved to Texas and—once again—fallen in love. But this time, they also fell for the Lone Star State! And what better way to honor their story than with a classic Texas wedding on a beautiful fall afternoon?
When Kelly + Adam visited us for the first time, we asked about their wedding day vision. They told us they pictured “rustic elegance” — a timeless look with nature-inspired details. It didn’t take long to show them that Pine Lake Ranch was the perfect venue!
After getting ready with their crew, Kelly + Adam’s big day kicked off with a sentimental first look on the back deck of our Bridal House.
We pulled out all of the stops for Kelly + Adam’s ceremony, which took place under our ancient oak tree (as most of our couples choose!). A wooden arbor festooned with sheer dusty rose draping, greenery garlands, and beautiful floral arrangements to match Kelly’s bouquet. But that’s not all! A surprise appearance by the sweetest ring bearer and flower girl had all eyes on the aisle — just in time for the blushing bride to proceed toward the love of her life.
Blush accents and lush greenery added a chic touch to our reception barn, perfectly capturing the “rustic elegance” Kelly + Adam were after.
As the night came to a close, a sparkler send-off and luxury BMW made for an epic getaway as the new Mr. & Mrs. stepped into their next chapter!

❤️ How did you meet?
We met through our two best friends who were going on a blind date, we were their plus ones 🙂
💍 Tell us about your proposal!
Adam proposed in our hometown city, Chicago, shortly after Thanksgiving 2021. Some of our very first memories together were in Downtown Chicago, so this location was special to us. It was a complete surprise and turned out perfect!
Tell us a bit about your wedding style and vision.:
We wanted a mix of rustic and elegant, so we felt like Pine Lake Ranch was the perfect in-between!
What’s your connection to Texas?
Adam moved to Texas in 2016 and Kelly moved in 2019. We fell in love with Texas and the life we created here, so we decided to get married in Texas and bring all of our family and friends down to us!
Why did you choose Pine Lake Ranch?
We LOVED the live oak tree and the whole property. It felt very secluded and intimate, and the beautiful lake and tree made the best background for photos. We also loved working with Heidi and enjoyed the perks Pine Lake offers in their packages.
What was your absolute favorite part of the day?
Getting married to each other! It was so special and worth all the planning and preparation.
What was your favorite part of celebrating at Pine Lake Ranch?
We loved having our ceremony under the live tree outside, and then moving the reception into inside with AC. We also really liked the bridal suite and groomsmen corral.
