Charming Southern Wedding Under an Oak Tree
If you aren’t convinced that you should say “I Do” under our breathtaking live oak tree, then this wedding will change your mind! It took place on a cool spring day and was downright magical. Keep reading to see the details from their event, including their classically Southern wedding attire.
As usual, the bride and groom enjoyed their mornings in separate dressing suites. The bride looked stunning in a romantic lace A-line wedding dress. It featured a sexy sheer v-neckline and was paired with a waist-length wedding veil. Her groom kept it casual but classy with dark jeans, a white dress shirt, and a vest. His cowboy boots were a nod to his Southern roots, while Captain America cufflinks lent a modern touch.
Before the wedding ceremony, the groom and his friends took a walk around the venue and enjoyed a drink in the string-lit corral. The girls stuck to the covered porch where they could remain out of sight – so as not to spoil the bride’s grand entrance. Before heading down the aisle, the bride wanted to do a first look with her dad. We think their radiant smiles say it all!
As their afternoon ceremony approached, family and friends arrived to take their seats beneath our towering oak tree. The two opted to keep their wedding ceremony decorations simple, with greenery trailing the aisleway and a crystal chandelier overhead. The bride, along with her ‘maids, carried bouquets of white roses and fluffy blue hydrangeas. The colors perfectly suited the dark blue bridesmaid dresses. Following the vow exchange, the wedding party stuck around for some fun portraits, and then the newlyweds traipsed around the venue to take intimate, one-on-one photos.
At our elegant wedding barn, guests were greeted by round tables decorated with short floral arrangements. They featured the same blue and white flowers, including hydrangeas, and were placed in wooden boxes. The bride and groom opted for a sweetheart table, set up front and center. It was decorated with rustic table lanterns and lots of fresh greenery. Other fun reception details included a custom bar sign featuring their darling dogs, as well as a colorful, and delicious, Captain America-themed cake for the groom.
