Elegant Scottish Wedding in Texas
Lindsay and Andrew’s wedding day was one for the books! With a mix of Western and Scottish traditions, their wedding was oh so romantic. Keep reading to see the details from their nuptials beneath our ancient live oak, including the groom and his groomsmen’s one-of-a-kind wedding attire.
Rocking a lace fit-and-flare wedding dress, Lindsay looked like a dream. It featured a sheer sweetheart neckline and an elegant low back. She paired it with a cathedral train, minimal jewelry, and a neutral oversized bridal bouquet. As for Andrew, he stole the show in a classic kilt and black suit jacket complemented by a beautiful fur sporran.
Their wedding party was an equally colorful and lively bunch. The girls wore blush bridesmaid dresses and carried lush bouquets that complemented the brides. The groomsmen were dressed in matching Scottish attire, each with a unique sporran. The party also included the cutest flower girl and ring bearer –as well as the pair’s golden retriever.
The couple hosted their ceremony beneath our breathtaking oak tree, in front of a wooden cross. It was decorated with a floral installation to match the bridal bouquets and consisted of white and blush roses, blue thistle, and eucalyptus. Our elegant crystal chandelier hung overhead.
Afterward, they moved to our reception barn for an intimate dinner, drinks, and dancing. Their sweetheart table was set up on our stage, dressed in white linens, topped with garland, and framed with rustic lanterns. The wall was decorated with greenery and white drapery for a romantic backdrop. It was our pleasure to be a part of Lindsay and Andrew’s big day and we wish them a long and happy life together!
